Hi,
We have bought an old Heinemann z 470, the tent is not in a very good condition so we are planning to change it, does somebody knows where we can find a manufacturer who can make a new tent. We have alrready send a mail to "Meheler" but we have not recieve any answer yet

You mean the company Mehler (not "Meheler").
This company will not made anymore "Specials" for someone.

I think you will get problems to find someone, who will make a new tent for your Heinemann z 470.

to get a new tent is only the first problem for Christian. The second is it to ship it to Santiago de Chile.

The Heinemann Z-470 y bought, was imported on 2008 by a chilean person wich imported several used tent trailers, heinemann, tent-let, alpen kreuzer, that is why you can find them in Chile. Specifically, I know that thera are only 2 heinemann Z-470. If you wich I can send you some phoytos so you cant tell me aproximatelly the year of my heini

Dear Velivor:
You have the reason it is "Mehler". I recieved an answer from the company telling me that in the next 3 day they can inform me about it. I have a small company in Santiago that could make the tent but "things that you reproduce, are never like the original".

did i understood you right, that you don't know the year in which your Heinemann Z470 was build? It should be to read on the nameplate of the Heini, i think.

But how ever, you can load some pictures of your Heinemann to our Galerie and ask our members in a new thread for this. I think, that some of our Heinemann-owners can give you informations to this topic.

Are you looking for a tent trailer or an awning (tent for the trailer)?
You can search for a used tent, too, but we have to find out how much the shipping costs.
If it is too expensive, it is perhaps not worth a used purchase.
But a new I do not think you can find one.

Dear Norbert and Velibor:

I have a friend who changed the tent of a Camp-Let, he imported it from Dänemarck, it was a relative simple process because they send it from the manufacter by air cargo directly to Chile. Indeed it was "A little bit expensive".

I´m looking for the awnings, the one that goes with the trailer and the exterior one you adjust with a zip to the one that goes with the trailer.

How is it if you would only repair the awning?

Dear Klaus:

There are several parts that must be replaced. The roof of the tent has some likings in the seams, and the fabrics of the sides of the tent are already burned by the sun so they are not rainproof as they should be, and they easely tear if you don´t treat them very carefully, specialy when you open or close the tent or when you put the winds. Those are the main reasons that are making us take the desicion of changing the hole awanings.
I have to learn firt how to put some photos up so you can see what i´m talking about.

The material of the roof there will be no more.
I would replace with Ten Cate.
It would be cheaper if you do everything there, otherwise you can indeed get the material from the fabric in Europe.

Dear Klauss:

Great man. Thank's a lot for your help. If my decision is to manufacture the new tent in Chile (wich it seems at the moment the most probably), I will tray to get the material from the fabric in Europe, I have a sister in law that lives in Baden Baden that can buy it and send it to me.

You get there, zipper, film for windows and even sewing.
The closer you doing there, Europe is far too expensive.
We may as well support your sister with questions.

PS: If you already bought material, I would do in your place the same with the tent of the trailer.
